Remembering Rabbi David Hartman z"l

Rabbi Uri Regev honors the memory of Rabbi David Hartman z"l

On the passing of Rabbi David Hartman z''l, a prominent Orthodox Rabbi and Jewish philosopher, Hiddush would like to extend its condolences to the Hartman family and the entire Shalom Hartman Institute community.

Rabbi Uri Regev, President of Hiddush- Freedom of Religion for Israel, commented on Rabbi Hartman's legacy:

"Rabbi David Hartman z''l's contribution to the Jewish world has only been partially understood, but it became clearer and bolder with the years, and reached a significant turning point with his book, "The God Who Hates Lies". With it, David became an even more of a Moreh Derech, a guide and source of inspiration to non-Orthodox Jews, just as he may have hoped to inspire his other Orthodox Jews in his own community. His legacy will endure and sustain generations to come."

May Rabbi Hartman's memory and legacy be a blessing and inspiration.
