On the eve of Shavuot, Hiddush launches campaign to bring attention to the issue of conversion in Israel

Hiddush sent out a newsletter and posted on both the Hebrew and English sites a draft of a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu to open the gates of conversion in the State of Israel. It urges the government to stop the retroactive nullification of conversions by the ultra-Orthodox rabbinic courts; recognize conversions from all major streams of Judaism; and put an end to the monopoly the Haredim have over the issue of conversion in the Jewish state.
